The Pear Tree has been run for the last 6 years by Molly and Nyle. In that time, the pub has seen many modernisations, with many more still to come. They have completed most of the renovations themselves or with relatives, so the pub really has a family feel to it. Elements of the pub from the past have been kept, rejuvenated, and re-displayed with pride, creating a lovely atmosphere for loyal regulars and new customers alike.
Shortly after opening, Molly and Nyle redesigned the pub to include a professional kitchen, where the famous Pear Tree Scotch Egg was born! Since then, lunches, roasts and event catering has grown very popular at the Pear Tree, with Nyle’s focus on serving great food using local produce at the forefront of the operation. Molly and Nyle have recently created a kitchen garden on the Pear Tree grounds, with future harvests making an appearance on the pub menu. Watch this space!
